How vetting works

The standards every partner meets.

Most partner programs grow by accepting everyone. Ours grows slowly because each partner is reviewed against the same five criteria, and reviewed again every year.

01

Editorial standards

A track record of original, accurate, edited work. We read the last body of work, not a media kit.

02

Audience quality

Real readers and viewers who match a client's buyers. We look at engagement and audience composition, not follower counts.

03

Domain authority

For written placements, publications with established authority and a clean link profile. No content farms, no networks of thin sites.

04

Crawlability

Pages that are indexed, publicly accessible, and open to search and AI crawlers. Coverage that engines cannot read does not compound.

05

Disclosure compliance

Partners who follow FTC guidance and their publication's policies on sponsored content, affiliate links, and material connections.

06

Annual review

Every partner is re-reviewed each year. Standards slip, audiences shift, and publications change policy. The network changes with them.

How a network program runs

From story to citation.

  1. Audience and query mapping

We map who your buyers read and follow, and the questions they ask search and AI engines about your category. That defines where independent coverage will matter.

  2. Partner shortlist

A named shortlist of network partners matched to each audience and query cluster, with their recent work, audience profile, and authority noted. You approve the list before outreach.

  3. Angles and material

Story angles, data, executive access, and product access tailored to each partner's beat. Partners decide what to write and whether to publish.

  4. Disclosure check

Before anything runs, we confirm the disclosure each placement requires under FTC guidance and the publication's policy, and we confirm it again after publication.

  5. AEO and GEO follow-through

Published pieces are tracked for indexing, linked from your owned properties where appropriate, and monitored for citations in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and search results.

Why it matters for AI search

AI engines cite pages, not press releases.

When someone asks an AI assistant for the best options in your category, the answer is assembled from pages the engine trusts: authoritative, crawlable, specific, and written by people with a track record. Tier-one coverage provides a few of those pages. A well-chosen network of independent writers and creators provides many more, across the long tail of questions your buyers ask. That is how coverage becomes rankings and citations, not just a logo on your press page.

How we keep it honest

Quality over volume.

  • We do not hide compensation. Disclosure happens wherever it is required.
  • We do not guarantee placements. Partners keep editorial control.
  • We do not buy links on content farms or private blog networks.
  • We do not count volume. Ten placements nobody reads are worth less than one that gets cited.
  • We do not present network coverage as tier-one staff reporting.

Who this is for. Who it is not for.

Built for

  • Venture-backed companies building category authority in AI search.

  • Anyone looking for guaranteed placements or pay-to-play listicles.
  • Link-building programs measured by the number of URLs.
  • One-off "quick feature" requests without a broader program.

Common questions

Answered before the call.

Who is in the partner network?

More than 200 independent journalists, contributors, editors, newsletter writers, bloggers, and creators. Each one is vetted for editorial standards, audience quality, domain authority, crawlability, and disclosure compliance before we propose them to a client.

Is network coverage paid?

Some of it can involve compensation, for example a creator partnership or a sponsored newsletter placement, and some is standard editorial interest. Where compensation or a material connection exists, it is disclosed as the FTC and the publication require. We never present compensated content as independent editorial coverage.

Do you guarantee placements through the network?

No. Every partner keeps editorial control over what they publish and whether they publish. We propose angles, provide access and material, and match stories to the right partner. We do not guarantee a specific placement, outlet, or outcome.

How does the network help AEO and GEO?

AI engines and search rank pages that are authoritative, crawlable, and specific. We choose network placements with that in mind: high-authority domains, pages that are indexed and accessible to AI crawlers, and content detailed enough to be cited in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews answers.

How is this different from tier-one media relations?

Tier-one media relations targets staff reporters at outlets like Bloomberg, Forbes, and TechCrunch. The network extends reach to independent voices that specific audiences trust: a niche newsletter, an industry analyst with a blog, a creator with a loyal following. The two run together, and the network rarely replaces tier-one work.

How do journalists and creators join the network?

Email [email protected] with your beat, your publications or channels, recent work, and audience details. We review every application against the same standards we use for vetting, and we reply whether or not it is a fit.
