About Digitize

Earned authority, engineered.

Digitize is a PR-led brand and marketing agency for companies that intend to lead their category. We earn tier-one coverage first, then build the brand, messaging, digital marketing, and AI search visibility around it so the coverage keeps working long after the story runs.

The origin story

Why this agency exists.

In 2021, Sunny Goyal was running a Series B SaaS account at a 200-person firm in New York. The client was paying for senior counsel. Over a year, it got a 47-slide strategy deck and a handful of trade mentions its buyers never read. The pitching itself had been handed to a junior with a purchased media list.

The client did not renew. Sunny left to start Digitize in 2022 on a simple premise: the people who sell the engagement should be the people who do the work. Senior strategists who know the reporters, write the angles, and stay on the account.

That premise now sits inside a broader model. Tier-one press is the core asset. Brand strategy, messaging, executive thought leadership, digital marketing, and AEO and GEO are built around it so every placement compounds into search rankings, AI citations, and pipeline.

"PR is not broken. The way it is staffed is. The craft is the same as it has always been: know the reporter, bring the angle, and make the story worth an editor's time."

Sunny Goyal, Founder and Lead Strategist

Operating principles

How we run every engagement.

Principle 01

Earned coverage is the core asset.

A placement is a real story by a real reporter at a publication your buyers, investors, and recruits read. We do not count wire distribution, paid syndication, or pay-to-play listicles.

Principle 02

The angle is the work.

Reporters do not need another release. They need a story their editor will buy. Most of our hours go into the narrative and the angle. The pitch is the easy part once both are right.

Principle 03

Press is the input. Authority is the output.

Every placement should also lift branded search, citations in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, and inbound. We measure the downstream, not just the clip.

Principle 04

Partner-led, always.

Every engagement is led by a partner from strategy call to final report. The senior people you meet are the senior people on your account.

Principle 05

Fewer clients, deeper work.

We take on a limited number of new engagements each quarter. That is how we keep partner attention on every account and say no when the fit is wrong.

Principle 06

Show the work.

Clients see the target list, the angles, the outreach, and the outcomes in a shared workspace. Reporting is tied to named outlets and named results.

The team

Senior-only core team. Every engagement is led by a partner.

The people below set strategy, write the angles, and own the reporter relationships on your account. They are backed by a vetted network of 200+ independent journalists, contributors, and creators, chosen for editorial quality and audience fit.

Where attention is going

Four bets that shape the work.

A modern building facade with repeating louvers, photographed in black and white against a pale sky

Earned media matters more, not less.

As AI-generated content floods every feed, an editorial citation from a real publication becomes scarce again. A story in Bloomberg or TechCrunch carries more weight today than it did five years ago.

AI answers are the new first impression.

Buyers, investors, and candidates now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini who leads a category. Those engines lean on the same tier-one sources reporters write for. We treat AI citation as a core outcome of PR.

Executive voice carries the brand.

A clear point of view from a CEO or founder earns more trust than a polished campaign. We build executive thought leadership that sounds like the executive.

Brand and press should be one system.

Positioning that cannot survive a reporter's first question will not survive the market. We build messaging and coverage together so each strengthens the other.

About the agency

Common questions.

Where is Digitize based?

We are headquartered in California and work with clients across the United States. Engagements run remotely, with in-person working sessions for retainer and enterprise clients.

Who works on my account?

Every engagement is led by a partner. Our core team is senior-only, and it is backed by a vetted network of 200+ independent journalists, contributors, and creators that extends reach where a story needs it.

Who owns the company?

Digitize is a privately held US company founded and majority-owned by Sunny Goyal. We have not raised outside capital.

Does the team include former journalists?

Yes. Daniel Reyes was a regional Business Journal reporter for three years before moving to PR. Maya Patel wrote for Apartment Therapy as a contributor for two years. The team has worked on both sides of the pitch.

Who is Digitize a fit for?

Venture-backed companies from Series A onward, enterprise and multi-location brands, and consumer brands at $10M+ revenue. We are not a fit for pre-product startups, one-off press release distribution, or budgets under $15,000 per month or $25,000 per project.

See our work on the case studies page. Some clients prefer not to be named publicly, and we honor that.
